Surya Shakti for Children is the ideal introduction to Yoga for ages 7 - 13. These programs offer children the possibility to nurture their innate sense of joy, heighten energy, and increase focus throughout the day.
Children will learn Surya Shakti, an active form of the Sun Salutation composed of 18 powerful postures. It is designed as a holistic process for physical fitness. “Surya” means “Sun,” and “Shakti” means “energy” - a process to boost energy, and strengthen the system.
Your child will also be introduced to the practice of Aumkar Meditation, and will learn a simple breathing technique known as Nadi Shuddhi to bring balance to the system and to relax the mind.
Children can learn this ancient practice in a series of 2 sessions in a private setting or join one of our open group classes (please check the schedule)
In a private class they will receive 1-on-1 guidance, catered to their pace with personalised support and focused attention.
In an open group class we will follow a set pace for everyone. They will practice together and will also have the opportunity to motivate each other.
